FEFCO codes explained
At RENUBOX, we offer a wide variety of cardboard boxes. They come in many sizes and board qualities, but when it comes to shapes, there are a few standard models. To avoid confusion, the packaging industry uses internationally recognized FEFCO codes. This way, you immediately know which type of box you’re looking at. Below, we explain the most common FEFCO codes.
FEFCO 0110 – Corrugated cardboard sheet
The FEFCO 0110 is not a box but a flat corrugated cardboard sheet. It’s ideal as a pallet base, interlayer, or top sheet to keep boxes stable and well protected. Check available stock or order a custom size.
FEFCO 0201 – Slotted box
By far the most commonly used model. This box has top and bottom flaps that meet in the middle. It’s easy to set up, suitable for almost any application, and available in many sizes. A cost-effective classic for shipping and storage. Check stock or order a Tailored box.
FEFCO 0203 – Slotted box with overlapping flaps
Similar to the 0201, but the flaps overlap, which provides extra strength and protection at the top and bottom. This model is often chosen for narrow boxes because it’s easier to close than a standard 0201. Check our stock or order a Tailored 0203 box.
FEFCO 0215 – Flap box with Swedish bottom
The FEFCO 0215 is a flap box with a Swedish bottom. You close the bottom quickly by folding four flaps inward, which lock into place. No tape needed. Perfect for fast packing. Order a Tailored box.
FEFCO 0409 – Wrap-around box
The wrap-around box is ideal for larger or more awkward products, such as car rims, bathroom tiles, or even tabletops. You place the product on the flat sheet, fold the cardboard tightly around it, and seal with tape. Because the cardboard is wrapped around the product, even tricky items are easy to pack. FEFCO 0421 – Mailer box

FEFCO 0427 – Reinforced mailer box

FEFCO 0473
